Witnesses report hearing gunfire in Palm Desert - KESQ

News

There is a heavy police presence in a neighborhood near Highway 111 and Deep Canyon in Palm Desert.

Callers into the News Channel 3 newsroom report hearing shots fired in that area around 7:30 p.m..

A News Channel 3 crew on scene confirms police are doing a search in the area. There has been a helicopter overhead and a man was seen running through the streets near San Onofre and Ramona.

There are no reports of injuries.
